Dr. Cowden Hindash

As a multi-ethnic woman working as a psychologist and life coach, my goal is always to contribute to a person’s understanding of themselves, their goals, and what would create a fulfilling life for them as an individual. My goal is to help you find a path that moves you towards who, what, and where you want to be. If we can break down the barriers keeping you from living your most fulfilling life, then we can unlock your potential to enrich the world.

Whether in the context of therapy or as your life coach,* I will work as your guide, cheerleader, and planner to help you gain a life consistent with your values, your experience, and what you want to be going forward.


As a psychologist, I have expertise in the treatment of mood, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. In a therapeutic relationship, our focus is on understanding how past experiences (both good and bad) contribute to the way you think and feel. Therapy will focus on how those experiences, thoughts and feelings affect the way you interact with the world around you.

Therapy modalities: Cognitive and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Habit Reversal Therapy, Emotion Processing 


In a life-coaching relationship, our focus will be on more specific and short-term goals and skills. Examples include organizational skills, learning to set priorities (including prioritizing self-care!), healthy lifestyle choices, goal setting, and professional/academic development. In coaching, the focus is to use your personal strengths to succeed in what can often feel like tough or unaccepting environments.

*Therapy and life-coaching are different services and priced based on the depth and skill required to ethically and effectively provide them. Appropriateness for either service is determined by V.I.A. providers.
